Addiction has affected my family. It is so hard to see what addiction can do to those that are addicted and their families. I won't name names but I have a very close family member that is in recovery for alcohol addiction. She has been in a few different rehab centers over the years, but she has always quit. The addiction was much to difficult to overcome in the past. She has now been in for 60 days and she is going well. She hates it but she is really coming to understand herself and why and how she became trapped in this addiction. The consequences of her addiction are sad, she has two kids who her ex husband has filed to get full custody. She is at a very low point, but she is still going trying to be healed and free from this after a decade of abuse. I am very proud of her and I can't wait to see what she will do when she is finally able be be free of alcohol addiction. Emily
